This is generally called as Auto-Transformer. From single connected winding Input and output are connected. Advantage for this type of winding is small Size, however, there is no insulation between input and output.
Single Winding

To separate from Single Winding Transformers (Auto Transformer), this is called as Insulated Transformers. Input and Output are electrically separate. In case electric insulation is required between primary and secondary, this type is practical.
Multi-Winding

Points for Choosing Size
Power Transformers is related to Magnetic Density Bm and Electric Density A/mm2 with temperature raise factor. Temperature raise is mostly related by material of core. For economic reason, Single Oriented Silicon Steel is best, however, to reduce Voltage change and temperature change as well as smaller size, oriented Silicone Steel is best choice. But in case regular operative condition is lower than maximum requirement, please let us know. We can count such information into design for most economical, safe and small size to meet your requirement. In case there is no indication of special condition, design will be made as per Japan Industrial Standard.

Capacitance of Power Transformer is calculated as total of each winding (Voltage times Currency).

Points for Safeness
As points for safeness) there are UL, CSA, IEC, JET. Please specify such specification to us when you need to have your product applicable to it. To avoid electric shock and fire caused by leakage, construction bobbin to create enough distance of terminal locations, as well as putting thermo fuse. In case of putting thermo fuse in primary winding, currency at primary winding must be less than 1/100 of primary winding currency value (Transformer Power- V X A), which is divided by primary winding currency. Please put 30~60% extra. When currency is turned ON, there is rush currency. We recommend you to use slow blow type (time rug) fuse per JIS C6575, TS, TL).

In case of taking out balanced loads from three phase transformer winding, For example single phase electric furnace and emergency take out, Scott Wiring Method is used.
Scot Transformer
Advantage:for primary, can set balanced loading.
Disadvantage:Secondary-(Single Phase circuit)must be set equally, well balanced. Can not connect series, and Parallel.

This is a method to obtain considerably large power of Single Phase Power (One circuit) from Three Phase Power by transformer winding, which is called as inverted V wiring.
Inverted V Transformer
Advantage:Do not require to make two circuits of loading side (like Scott Wiring)
Disadvantage:As per diagram, Three Phase Input Currency does not balance.

Noise Reduction Transformers
Key is how to minimize normal mode and common noise. Best method is to make develop a type of core, which passes 50Hz or 60 Hz, whatever the AC frequency is. Generally, static shield can considerably lower common mode noise, but further efforts are made to reduce also normal mode noise as much as possible.
